Resident Evil 2 Remake Inspired Level Blockout

Duration: 4 Weeks Half-Time + 2 Weeks Iteration based on feedback
Description: This portfolio piece showcases a survival horror level for a third-person shooter game, drawing its primary inspiration from the Resident Evil 2 remake and other titles within the Resident Evil franchise. The design of this level is centered around:

Creating an atmosphere of terror and suspense in a zombie-infested environment

Offering interconnected routes within its linear structure to encourage player exploration

Utilizing various player guidance techniques

Manipulating Game Pacing, by using a Beat Sheet
Engine & Tools: Unreal Engine 5, Blueprints, Modeling Mode
My Work: I was responsible for conceptualization, whiteboxing, blueprinting, playtesting, and lighting. I also modded some functionalities of the asset pack to better mimic the player movement and camera used in Resident Evil 2. I used UE Blueprints to customize my AI functionalities, and some trigger events along with the puzzle in the level.
